I am experiencing the same issue in Joomla 1.6.3.
When I go to Extensions manager and click manage, I get the There are no extensions installed matching your query error

Yea thats a problem for me aswell, and I have to uninstall a plugin :/
Joomla 1.6.3
If I try to refresh the page I get the browser resend box as if I passed a query to the plugin filter form despite the fact I didn't!.
I hope someone manages to fix this.

[EDIT]
Having performed another google search on the issue I found this bug report for Joomla 1.6:

Some of these are corrected as of Revision 18060.
Would something similar to what we have now in Installer/manage fit?
**There are no extensions installed matching your query**

As you can see it was a reported bug some time ago and the report has been closed as fixed, therefore no one at present is working on the issue, nor where any of the fixes published to the tracker :(
I have used the manage part of Joomla recently to uninstall a module without issues, I have tried clearing the cache and logging back in with the same error.
Does anyone know how to manually unpublish a plugin ?

I received this message in Joomla 2.5 - here's what I did to fix it:

I needed to remove the "AcePolls" extension, so first I clicked Extensions -> Plug-in Manager and clicked to filter on "AcePolls" extension. From there I clicked Extension Manager -> Manage and uninstalled the "AcePolls" extension.

When I looked back into the Extensions -> Plug-in Manager I received the error message "There are no extensions installed matching your query" - panic!

I realised I'd uninstalled the "AcePolls" extension so this must be the cause.

To fix this, I reinstalled the "AcePolls" extension. This had the effect of showing me that the filter was set to "AcePolls" in Extensions -> Plug-in Manager *before* I uninstalled it.

So then I unfiltered the "AcePolls" to "Select Type" reveling the missing plug-ins.

Finally, I re-uninstalled the "AcePolls" extension from the Extension Manager -> Manage I checked the Extensions -> Plug-in Manager and everything was fine.

This could well be a Joomla bug in the filtering and there is no way to unset the filter after you have uninstalled an extension. Could be worth adding this to the needs-to-fix in the next Joomla release.

I got the same error, just in the Module Manager: "There are no modules installed matching your query".

Well, that happened after I trashed all of my enabled modules. I didn't uninstall them though. When I'm adding a new module, the admin page looks like static html. I can still type in the name, configure the options, but when I'm selecting a module position, the link doesn't work. It's supposed to close and direct you back to the new module creation page for you to be able to save it.

Everything else is fine in the control panel. Only when I'm adding a new module that the admin page looks like static html.

I've uninstalled all my third party modules, but haven't reinstalled them yet.

Do you have any idea how I can fix it? Running on Joomla 2.5.4.

Thanks.

Yeah, my only filter is the first one : Site (and Administrator) to view all site modules. When I choose Administrator, the message 'There are no modules installed matching your query' disappears, everything's fine.

BTW, I posted some screenshots in another topic, maybe you can check them. Here's the link:http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=616&t=700140

What could be the problem?

Hmm the way I managed to reverse my problem was to reinstall the modules. Are you able to do that?

If you can, do it and then "un" set the filter and see how you go.

Hi, cappsie. That worked for me! Thanks. The message 'There are no modules installed matching your query' disappeared.

However, I still can't select a module position. When creating a new one, it still directs me to this html only page.

I will try installing the 2.5 versions of my 3rd party modules. What I reinstalled were the J1.5 versions. That might fix my prob.

Thanks again.

I just found out that my Template Manager also exhibits the same problem, but only those 'Site' templates. When I clicked on a template, it provides me with a html only page, no style, and no way to save my configurations.

I'll probably post this topic to the 'Extensions' section.
