Just moved my site from local server to hosted server and this is the error I get. Did not see anything regarding this in Joomla 2.5

Table 'ard1213611584880.jos_session' doesn't exist SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_session` (`session_id`, `client_id`, `time`) VALUES ('4d67c57b1c53a0d1a9df5f640ce75d50', 1, '1337115241')

Welcome to Joomla forum!

Did you make the necessary changes in configuration.php so that those settings reflect the new server?
Is ard1213611584880 the name of the database on the server?

Yes I made the necessary changes. Yes it is the name of the database.

Also I just realized that my wampserver is mysql 5.52 and my hosting account is 5.0. Would that make a difference?

I don't think that the MySQL version matters much in this case.

Is "jos" the prefix of your tables in the database on the server?

Does your database on the server have the jos_sessions table?
If you have, does the table have overhead? If it does: repair or optimize the table in phpMyAdmin
If you don't, just create a new jos_sessions table (e.g. from your old database). You'll only need the structure, not the contents.

ok thank you. just uninstalled everything and starting over. I will let you know if I have the same error. thank you so much

I didn't advice you to reinstall everything. Recreating the missing jos_sessions table should have been sufficient.

btw: if you want to move your website from your local PC to a server,
you could consider using Akeeba Back-up to create a back-up,
and Akeeba kickstart to install that backup at some other server.

Thanks I know you did not advise me to reinstall but it is easier for me because I do not know enough to understand what to do with the jos_sessions. thank you for your help
