Hey

I have been tasked to integrate a single sign on for Joomla. What we are trying to achieve is that if you login into Site A you should be automatically login into Site B which is Joomla without re-enter the username and password or displaying login page. We are currently have cross site login working e.g. you can login into Site B with Site A credentials but not single sign on. We don't don't want ldap or any other type of sign on. We have a cookie containing a hash token which should be used with our Joomla single sign on and check with a database. I have looked into other methods of doing this and documentation is not clear. I have a time constant to get this working.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also wondering how I could log in a user to the joomla 2.5 front end directly, without using login form. What kind of code is needed to interfere with the login process. Do I need to make some plugin or what would you recommend?

Well I found this wonderful extension which seems to be perfect for my needs :)
It allows to auto login a user by only passing username and password thru request variables.
