Hi,

Is there a way I repair my Joomla! installation? I somehow feel I may have caused a lot of problems with my installation by installing and deleting different plugins/components. Sometimes manually deleting from cpanel, and I may have deleted important files in the process?

The site, muslimeyes.com, does seem to work fine. But i have my own doubts. Like in the components menu in the backend, "Joomla Update" shows which normally should not be shown.

Any help will be much appreciated.

If it would not show it would be a bad day for you. This is the new upgrade component of Joomla (present since Joomla 2.5.4). If you remove that you won't be able to upgrade in the future since the upgrade tab in extensions manager will redirect you to that component.

If you feel that you might be missing files and folders you just reload with ftp all Joomla file sand folders except the installation folder and that would give you a clean file system. If you than are missing modules for instance you go to module manager, click "new" and it will present you with the modules you can create

I'm new to this forum - I've seen that update on security warnings, and vulnerabilities... My sites seem to be working fine as of now, but should i consider upgrading it to the latest version & fixing those vulnerabilities?

You should not consider! You should DO IT NOW!
This is not related to "site works fine" but preventing from being hacked and extended functionality
