1/ Create an image that you want to make icons
2/ Use google search to search the site for creating favicon (use keyword: favicon)
3/ Upload your image and follow the instructions on the web
4/ Download and copy your favicon.ico to your template folder (overwrite existing file)

Is it possible to say in your css that it has to use an image (like favicon.ico) from your own media manager?
So you say like list-style-type has to be that icon?

Probably not possible but just wondering

I always put my favicon in the root folder of the site and it works. I save it as a 32x32px jpeg and then simply change the extension to .ico, upload it to root folder via ftp and it's live then.

Here:

Code: Select all

http://namxeofxyourxsite.com/templates/your_template/icon/favicon.ico
or

Code: Select all

/templates/your_template/favicon.ico
or

Code: Select all

 /templates/your_template/images/favicon.ico
or somewhere else if it's custom template. Try "file search functions" in your OS.
Anyway is nice to keep Joomla default favicon.ico. You supporting community then ;)
Cheers
