Joomla 1.5.7 Uyghur Language pack
I am translating the front end language files(1.5.7) to Uyghur language ,based on English and Chinese versions and uploaded here:
http://downloads.joomlacode.org/docmanf ... /ug-CN.rar
For more information:
Fully translations of Joomla! for Uyghur Language Project.
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/uig/
There are more works to use this language pack after installing:
1.Need to solve DISPLAY problems of Uyghur(non Unicode letters) using Microsoft Web Embedding Tools,after making a eot files.
And add this to css files like following:
body{
direction: rtl;
}
@font-face {
font-family: ukij tuz tom;(Uyghur font name)
font-style: normal;
font-weight: normal;
src: url(http://www.xxxx.com/UKIJTUZ0.eot);}
or
body {
font-family: UKIJ Tuz Tom,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
src{http://www.xxx.com/UKIJTUZO.eot;}
2.Need to solve the INPUT problem in the back end.There are some examples to solve this using JavaScript files,and until now I am using Notepad or Word to INPUT texts and PASTE it.
The translating and testing site is:
http://www.charwichiliq.cn
I am working only now and welcome to join me!

Re: Joomla 1.5.7 Uyghur Language pack
Thanks for your efforts.
Your pack can't install as is. Some mistakes.
I corrected it as well as some headers. You can easily now upgrade to 1.5.9
For information, Safari on Macintosh does not need the eot font. Uyghur displays OK.
Would be nice if you provided this eot font too.
Please contact me as soon as your admin pack is ready.
We would like to add Uyghur to Joomla!™ Translations.
Please read Joomal! Translation Policy

Best Regards
