Joomla with tomcat 7 and Ubuntu OS

Has any one get joomla 2.5/3 to work with Tomcat 7 on Ubuntu ... Please let me know ... tnx

Because Joomla is a Linux based system then you may experience Ownership problems. One way around this is to CHOWN the Joomla folders ... another way is to install xampp and use your ftp Client to create directories in (and ftp Joomla files to) the xampp virtual server.

My preference is xampp because when an ftp Client is used to create/move files on/to the xampp virtual server ... then xampp takes care of the file Ownership with having to use the CHOWN command. http://docs.joomla.org/Installing_Jooml ... bian_Linux gives details of both methods.

The problem is , I couldn't run XAMPP and Tomcat together ... yes I used two different ports

Then if you use Tomcat you will probably need to use the CHOWN command on the Joomla files ? http://docs.joomla.org/Installing_Jooml ... ermissions you may have a different path but it should help ?
