Maybe your school/high-school/university has collaboration contracts with certain firms that offer development services. That would be a good point to start your search.

Find some seo firms in your area and send them your cv.

p.s. don't expect to be paid, we live in an era of microwork.

Don`t focus just on your geo area...for seo firms. You can always work from home these days, and cut the commute cost and such. Write a CV with a nice cover letter, google up "seo firms online internship" and send an email with ur cs and cover letter included to few firms every day, and you will be up and running in a week or so...:)
Good luck!

Its a numbers game.
i wouldn't aim for an internship, just for a regular work (besides your own stuff..)
be confident, you'll do good.

That is a good idea too, but there is simply just so much competition on those websites. It really is crazy.

Have you tried consulting with your career councilor in your school? They might be able to find a suitable company for your needs. If not you can do a bit of looking around your town, you can probably find a few companies that would cater to your needs. Or you could try doing a search online, this way you would not find any boundaries. Working from home is very popular these days.

There is a company in China that offers internships for worldwide SEO and Online Marketers. China Internships. They mainly look for good bloggers though. I think they also provide one to one online training if you are working form home too.

It's a real cut throat industry these days. You will learn some great skills but there are so many people doing this.

Definately check with local firms if there are any in your area.
