Extensions Vs Bootstrap

Post by FavMedia » Tue Mar 12, 2013 12:29 am

Hello,

I am in the process of updating my extension http://inquisitive.net.au to Joomla! 3.0

Trying to future proof the work i am currently doing.
This thread about bootstraps implementation status seemed incomplete - https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgr ... FvIsya63q4

Currently updating the survey component layout which is breaking slightly within bootstrap. But before i go and update all component views and css with bootstrap ability, is there a component or Joomla! feature in place to load bootstrap if the template EG: (Beez3 ) is being used by the user, which does not load bootstrap?

1. Do i create my component for bootstrap?
2. Do i not create my component for bootstrap?
3. Do i have to create my component for both?

Whats the easiest way?

The functionality of your site will probalby be limited. Unless it is compensated by other scripts.

Nobody can tell you when you not provide the details. Maybe you get better response on the General developer list.

Well i have noticed that the Beez3 template does seem in fact to load bootstrap, however the view varies depending on the templated used, which defeats the whole purpose of using the bootstrap system. what am i missing?
