Beginners portal edit requests (sec-related info)
Hi gang,
I noticed something tonight on this page: http://docs.joomla.org/Beginners
At the very bottom-left:
1. The "Security Announcements" link, is an archived, 1.X-only sec announcements forum!
I don't see a correct, exact match to replace; I see security discussion, and I see general announcements. This leads to...
2. It would be good to have links here to the Security and VEL feed pages:
http://feeds.joomla.org/JoomlaSecurityNews
http://feeds.joomla.org/JoomlaSecurityV ... Extensions
3. The 3.x security link says 3.1 - it should probably say 3.X now.

Well spotted, thanks!
I was going to suggest you that the documentation website is a wiki and that you are welcome to correct any errors yourself.
However, apparently this page has been write protected...
I've contacted someone who can change it.
Thanks for reporting those errors!

Oops, thanks!
Apparently the wiki didn't like pipes directly behind the url so I added a space behind the URLs and now it seems to work ok...

Apparently Tom or someone else has protected that page. I dropped a note on the Discussion page for that Wiki topic.Gloria superbee wrote:"...which can be installed when when installing Joomla!"
