It has become really confusing where we are supposed to submit problems with vBridge - here or wh-solutions. Please make this clear.

I have installed vBridge with latest Mambo and vBulletin 3.0.8. Everything seemed to install fine.

However, when I login from vBulletin, it logs me in to mambo but not vbulletin. Also after logging in from vBulletin it returns me to my mambo home page and the forum disappears.

Also, logout fails in mambo, saying I am logged in to a private area of the site.

I can also no longer log in to my mambo administrator area. I bought vBulletin because vBridge was available - £82. And instead I have a completely broken website. This isn't even Beta software let alone a release candidate.

What is the problem ?

As i told in the other 2 forums, posting and can`t wait 2 hours for an answer, with telling there is no activity, means i have to stop my life for you? I have to work in real life to spent my freetime for the CMS-formaly known as mambo for coding and supporting for free ;) so please be patient.

To make it clear:

Support is on my site, generally support is also here so you have 2 choices

Your questions have been answer in both other forums.

Sorry to sound rude but currently everything must calm down and we must get back to the normal activity, to support user and you of course ;D also i did sleep only one hour  :P

Yes I genuinely apologise. I was just running out of time to get this working. I had promised my members the new site would be up and running by today and frustration was starting to increase.

Really sorry for my impatience. I have now told my current members that the new site will not be going live this weekend.

I also wasn't sure where to post the question.

I will give you all help i can, if "we" want to get this up very fast, i need

a) account to admin
b) maybe ftp
c) may phpmyadmin to be sure

There is a lot happen the last days so we all must get but to normal ;)  so i guess that you are sure a little confused about all the heavy changes to the community :D

As i told you have now the 2 choices of support here and on my site, the Bugtracker is only on my site. You also can use MSN, ICQ, AIM

Might it be a good idea to have vBridge have it's own forum ?
or for that matter, many of the "MAJOR" components here.

vBridge has its own Forum as many other Components also, but it also good to for people to have a general place.

true true Predator.

Just a quick question from the vBridge master himself.

I don't like phpBB.
I use vbulletin.

what is your opinion of a  SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public vs. Vbulletin matchup ?
Are they even comparable ?

:)

Well SMF is for a free Board really good i believe the best free board, but sorry the new vBulletin 3.5 is out of reach, the new features even the new plugin system mmmmm like chocolate.

Ok the price if your are a fan it doesn`t matter.

Also the performance for really big community is also out of reach.

Just my 2 cent

btw, that`s also the reason why i did vBridge to combinated a great piece of code ( $ambo ) with an other ( Vbulletin ) ;)

I realise you have asked for problems to be posted on your own forum but I've posted this here so that any solutions can be seen by everyone - quite possibly to save you time repeating yourself with common problems - I'm still reading my way through the 70 pages of problems and replies on the mamboserver forum about this to see if there is anyone with similar issues there but nothing has come up in the search that I did so I'll continue reading through it and hope to find something whilst awaiting your assistance.

We've downloaded the latest version and although its displaying there as being the correct number of users none are showing up when you go to to view the members list after the integration was run. No users are able to log into the forum, also, when the forum is embeded in the website the links on the forum don't work and you end up with another version nested inside the forum. At the moment there is only one person who is able to log in but they have to log in via mambo AND via the forum (they are admin)

So where do we go from here?

The only part of the installation process that doesnt seem right is that although it patched the mambo template successfully the file was corrupted and it had to be restored from a back up.. what changes does it make and how can I run this single patch on its own?

As you know mambo 4.5.3 beta is released so the latest seems that one which has Turkish support no need to translate ... and has an option to update automatically from web so it seems cool and says bugs in the old version fixed everyone always wants to use the latest version of something right ? I installed the beta mambo and the latest vbulletin 3.0.8 but the bridge gave error :( then I have to remove the beta mambo and install 4.5.2 I am sad to use an old and vulnerable version so I want to use bridge with the latest release and my vbulletin is in the mambo and so this makes it very small http://www.hababam.biz/index.php?option ... &Itemid=26 and doesnt look good I want it to be wide , to fulfill all the page as normal vbulletin please make your comments and carry me to the best decision ...
Regards,
Anarchy

You knpw allready this release of Miro is not even a alpha Version even a Beta, it was still a lot of bugs because this one has not finished, this is the old CVS Version from the Core Devs here, to use this unstable Version on a productive site is really funny to see ;D

As i told in the other forum for a Miro Mambo Version there will be no support given from me, i wait for the release here which will be much better i believe ( also for you ) and than release a vBridge to support OSM ( name comes soon ) 4.5.3

So i guess you have to be patient until this one is released, then you can get a new Version, but i don`t if this will be compatible with the Miro CMS.

Why not using 4.5.2.3 ?

Regards

Community Builder RC2 (originally due out this month ;) ) also already incorporates such "mambot-type" trigger-events, inside a new Community-Builder plug-in framework.

RC2 runs on Mambo 4.5.0 to 4.5.2.

This plug-in framework integrates also all necessary functions to seemlessly integrate other components, like phpshop and many others around a true user management system.

The YaNC newsletters integration has been moved to a Community Builder plug-in and already uses these events :) .

We will be starting first integrations in cooperation with other components in the weeks to come.

Hi Predator,

Your new integration looks very nice!

Fergot to say that the former SimpleBoard-CB integration is now also a plugin in Community Builder RC2. So you might be interested to develop a vBulletin integration plugin in a few weeks ;) when we are ready. PM me if interested for a head start.

I got a lot requests to completly support of CB ( optional ;)  ) so i just wait for the new Version to add this to the vBridge, but if you do it now with plugins very good can you tell me more about the syntax for this plugins how to write etc. and i`m sure i will support this way.

Great ! I will email you informations/examples for your feedback and tests in a few days, when the next CB RC2 build 9 is ready.

Hi,

I posted a question in your wh-solutions forum, but this one seems to be more active, so sorry for the double post.

I tried this integration, the user part seems to work.  But vbulletin looks like it is in the standalone mode when people are viewing the forum.  That is, it does not use the mambo template, or top menus, etc.

I tried "verified" the template patch a few times in the component config backend, but that didn't seem to do much.

What did I miss?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  I am using vb308 and vbridge rc2, in unwrapped mode.

Cheers,

Unwrapped Mode = outside $ambo = Standalone
Wrapped Mode = inside $ambo

I`m working on this as i know now from the vBulletin Dev team there is no way to convert the passwords from the mambo user to vBulletin the use of md5 is different, so if import mambo user to Vbulletin only with a new random password and every of this member has to click on Lostpassword to get an working one. This is the only solution which is possible.

I sleep mostly only 6 hours a day but this is at least what i need.  ;)  The rest i try to be online as much i can, in these days mostly 16 hours here and on my site.
