Well the source code is most definitely a lot different between the two.

I am sure searching throughout the web you can find many many instances of the same type of "design style" all over the place.  It isn't as if either site design is using anything out of the ordinary or suprisingly refreshing in design.  Pretty common look.

It isn't a copy.  And I would be careful in stating things like that.  There are lots of sites that use that same design style.  It isn't anything out of the ordinary.  The source code doesn't care if it is Joomla or not.  You could tell a copy by the similarity in the code behind the design, there aren't any in this case.  What you can see is that a lot of sites use that sort of layout and design style.  It doesn't make either one a copy of each other, or other sites.  It is just common.

Moving this to General Discussions.

I shall remove my remark as you are right, it is not my place to say those sort of things.

I am really not happy that a number of people have decided to edit the content out of their posts.  It makes the thread nonsensical and useless, when it could have been a good thread that demonstrated how these things are looked at and brought to resolution.

I don't understand editing a post's content out, while replacing it with basically a statement that says "I stand by what I posted but I am going to remove it anyways", and somehow it makes me think that those involved on both sides now have things to hide, or at least have had some sort of private discussion to decide to delete the content out of their posts.

Just for others reading this thread, it was originally about a template from a well known template club/provider and another website and the very distinct similarities between the visual design of the two sites.

I will lock this thread now, as it seems there really is no reason to keep it open.  I do request that people do not do this sort of thing to forum threads.  It creates threads that are difficult to read, creates work for moderators, and makes those involved doing the deleting/editing of the of content of posts to hide a discussion that has been had look ridiculous.
