Date in Hebrew

Post by motionmountain » Fri Sep 29, 2006 9:27 pm

I have a hebrew web page (even though I cannot read or speak hebrew)
on http://www.motionmountain.net/hebrew.html

and I would like to add the hebrew date (so far, it says 15.9.2006).

Could somebody post it for me, so that I can copy/paste it into the
html? Thank you in advance

I guess you are not even a Joomla user...

15 בספטמבר 2006

the right alignment does not work here currectly, but it will be OK when you copy & paste it.

on a slightly different tack if you are after conversion from the Gregorian to the Jewish calendar this module works quite well:

It is also worth knowing that PHP has a built in function that does Gregorian to Jewish translation. It requires only a one line change to have dates shown as Jewish dates in Joomla!

Oooh, now that could be very handy. Especially as it would probably be quite a quick hack to modify one of the Joomla Calendar components to display Jewish dates.

I'm a bit of a newbie with PHP but generally OK with languages so I think I'm going to have to play with function I didn't know existed!

For anyone else interested here's a link to the PHP function:

along with lost of other calendar functions here:

All the best

I need this too.
I have a list of all the articles in a category, and I need a Hebrew (Jewish) date showing.
Thanks
