Helo Pawb,

I'm working on a Joomla 1.5 Welsh translation.  Finished the frontend language files, but the administrator has a lot more to go - probably about two weeks at most.  Thought I'd mention in case someone else is also working on it, so that we can avoid duplication.

Also a question (probably for Geraint) - I've written a Joomla 1.5 translations manager component.  Manages the language files, shows progress, etc.  Do you know a few people who could test it for me, and do you know how I would post it as an extension (assuming people find it useful)?

Fyddwn i'n fodlon helpu gyda chyfieithu os ti angen.

Heb brofi 1.5 eto - wyt ti'n gorfod dechrau o'r dechrau? Wyt ti wedi postio'r ffeiliau ti wedi eu cyfieithu yn barod yn rhywle?

Rwy bron a bod wedi cwblhau cyfieithu nifer o fodylau fel com_Events v1.2 , com_zoom a JIM (negeseuon personol), a wedi dechrau Joomlaboard, a byddaf yn postio rhain fan hyn ar ol eu gorffen - wedi cyfieithu'r rhan flaen yn y rhan fwyaf. Os oes gan rywun ddiddordeb mewn derbyn beth rwy wedi gwneud yn barod rhowch wybod.

Mae'n ddrwg geni am yr ymateb araf.  Fedrai greu prosiect newydd ar y forge a dy wneud di yn gyd-weinyddwr - ydi hynny'n swnio'n syniad da?

Mae geni 'declyn' bach dwi wedi ei sgwennu sy'n chwilio drwy'r hen gyfieithiadau sy'n gwneud y gwaith ychydig yn haws i gychwyn.  Dwi'n hapus iawn i drio dy 'elfen' (component?) di.

Rwy'i wedi cyfieithu Joomla 1.5 bron yn gyfan.  Y pen blaen wedi ei orffen, a tua 10% o'r rhyngwyneb gweinyddol yn weddill.  Mae Joomla 1.5 yn newid yn aml, yn cynnwys y cymalau cyfieithu, ond mi wna'i bostio'r ffeiliau ar y fforwm hon yn syth yn y flwyddyn newydd (dydd mawrth/mercher) a medrwn ni gario ymlaen o fan'na.  Ymysg pethau eraill, byddai'n werth cael adborth ar rai o'r termau.  (ee. "cydran" ar gyfer "component"...)

Falle byddai creu prosiect 'Cymraeg' ar y forge yn syniad da?  Bydd defnyddio SVN yn gwneud cadw trefn ar newidiau yn hawdd, a bydd y tracker/fforwm yn gwneud trafod manylion unrhyw newidiadau yn drefnus.  Yn ogystal gallwn greu restr 'swyddogol' o dermau Joomla fydd yn ddefnyddiol iawn ar gyfer cyfieithu cydrannau arall.

Ar bwnc gwahanol - dwi'n sylwi fod _J_ALLOWRAW wedi newid i JREQUEST_ALLOWRAW.

Dwi'n gweithio'n ar JEvents 1.5 a Joomfish 2.0 ar hyn o bryd ac mae'r newidiadau sylweddol o wythnos i wythnos yn Joomla 1.5 yn gwneud hyn yn ychydig o boen.

Prynhawn Da Pawb,

Here's the first draft of the Joomla15 translation (frontend and backend).  I will post it on a website and try to add it to the extensions  listing in the next few weeks.

Joomla15 keeps on changing, (including requiring reinstalls of nightly builds) so unfortunately the translation file will also need to keep on changing.

If you try to install the zip files through joomla15 you will get an error, so you need to extract the directories manually.  If anyone knows how to fix the installation problem, please drop me a note and I'll add the necessary XML file to the package and/or re-organise the contents.

Efallai byddai'n syniad da cael prosiect 'Welsh' gyda ffeiliau iaith ar gyfer Joomla 1.0, 1.5 ac amrywiol gydrannau.  Llawer haws cynnal y ffeiliau ar forge na rhywun yn gwneud ar eu gwefan nhw'u hunain.

I've posted a translation utility component for Joomla 1.5 on the forge, and I'm proposing that we create a 'Welsh' project to hold welsh translations of joomla, components, etc
