I installed the plugin and it works great except one issue.......

when I click on an image being displayed, the page gets dark and the full size image appears..... but when I click on the "CLOSE" link in the bottom right of the full size image, it won't.

See this article I am testing and you will find the simple gallery images at the bottom.

I am using the ijoomla magazine component in my site.  This problem is occuring in both firefox and IE and I don't think this is a template issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Try re-installing. But it could be some conflict with other JS scripts you have on your template.

Hmmmm,

I am using Rocket Themes Modern Business... rt_modbusiness .  Is there a way for me to determine what the conflict would be?

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry about that.... yes... I do have jom comment but why would this cause a problem?  I didn't know there was javascript code in the component?

Thanks,
Mike

I unpuplished the component from the menu but did not uninstall.  Still have the same problem.  I would rather not totally remove the component as it was the only comment one that I was able to configure to use as a "letter to the editor".

Do I need to totally remove it to find it if it was a problem or not?????  is there another way to test this without deleting the component.  The reason why I am  asking is that I have customized some files in the component so that it will work with my site....  mostly language files stuff like instead of using the word "Comment" I changed it to say "Letters".

Thanks,
Mike

Hello
I am having a problem viewing Simple Image Gallery in Firefox 1.5.0.9. Not just my gallery but all those I have checked including the demo. The images are displaying in one column rather than in 'gallery format'. There doesn't seem to be a problem in IE6 or IE7. Can you help please?

Fantastic content gallery with an active Developer - thank you!

com_ajaxfloats messes with the gallery. It uses Grey Box which conflicts with Mootools (used in SIG).  ;)

Just to clarify:

Simple Image Gallery DOES conflict with Jom Comment?

Does it also conflict with Multithumb?

I tried the SIG mambot, but the with both Jom Comment and Multithumb - the thumbnails did not appear and the fullsize image was more like a thumbnail.

Odd.

Yes, it does conflict with Multithumb if I remember correctly.

Ugh, that's too bad.
I really enjoy the Multithumb feature for most of the basic articles AND love the simplicity of the SIG mambot too.
:S

The gallery feature in Multithumb blows out the template on my site and is a tad too simple...

Most of the other "gallery" tools out there are more than I need also.  Expose for example...great, amazing, fantastic!!! - BUT, I need the ability to have "mini" galleries inside separate articles...not just a massive gallery for all topics/content.

Some day....some day....
:'(

Ok, you were right. There is a conflict with ajaxfloats. I forgot that I had added this to the template

I had moved it to the end of the template and thats when the SIG broke. I placed the at the begining of the template and that fixed the issue.

Thanks. Are you going to all a switch so as to use the names of the files rather then a common name as in v1.1?

Since others have asked this too, I guess I'll include an option to select what you want the popup to display, a message or the image filename.

OK?

You can already scroll through pictures by clicking on top of the left or right side of the full image...  :D

Could anyone check to see if they have problems with my site in FF?  I just added this great plugin to display images for a list of pages that i will be creating...  I have no issues with IE7, however with FF 2.0.0.1, the full size upon clicking on the thumb is not appearing.  I get the actual fade and the white background with the text and whatnot, however the full size image is just not appearing???

Any suggestions?

They don't show up because they have spaces in their filenames! Simple! Try using something like this_is_my_image.jpg

Got it?

Viewing in Firefox I don't see your full size image either.

perhaps it is the filename?

image%20008%20(large).jpg

which has spaces and brackets in it?

Thank you for checking this for me! I am still having Firefox problems - sometimes two columns, three and just now it is four which it should be. I notice that not all the image declarations are closed - do you think this might be a problem with Firefox the compliant browser?

(sorry I double posted re filenames below - I left it because of the brackets!)

:D Great plugin - gives everything you want for a simple gallery. Just had one problem at the start, as my thumbnayils weren't displaying - just small square boxes. Finally figured it out that the original images were to big (original +2000 on +1000). I've sized them down to 640x480 and everything went fine.

Really great job guys.

Amazing plugin... but I also had to disable jomcomment for it to work. Anyone ever figure out a work around for them to co-exist?

Great Plugin - working well in Firefox and IE6 BUT in IE7 the thumbnails briefly appear then disappear leaving just the frames with white inside. They are not clickable either.

I would really appreciate some assistance on this.

I have read all the posts I can find here, and have looked at the template angle. It is only in IE7 that I get the problem.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Speru
