Hi Leandro,
JCE strikes again! >:(I am going to raise a ticket with regard to the updating error that is blighting this work.
Any way items 1- 8 above all fixed. However, not sure what you meant by wrong screenshots as these all appear correct as far as i can see.
Thanks
Andy

Could be the JCE's links & popups editor. I've had the same problem sometime.

I found those issues on IE 7 (not on FF 2.0 ). The screenshot links are not valid. They show a blank page (I have tried once again by cleaning the browser cache, but the problem remains).

Another two minor issues about screenshots (sorry if i am overmeticulous):
1. For the "Menu :: Item [menutype]" Help Screens there is no uniformity with regard to "Add" an "Edit" screenshots creation:
- Some Help Sreeens have both "Add" and "Edit" screenshots => Menu Item :: Link - Content Item **NEW** , Menu Item :: Link - Static Content **NEW** , Menu Item: List - Content Section **NEW** , Menu Item :: Link - News Feed **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Contact Category **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Content Category **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - News Feed Category **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Web Link Category **NEW**

- Other Help Screens have "Add" Screenshots only => Menu Item :: Blog - Content Category **NEW** , Menu Item: Blog - Content Section **NEW** , Menu Item: Link - Contact Item **NEW** , Menu Item :: Link - URL **NEW**
2. For some "Edit" (Menu Item) Screenshots you can see the text "Menu item saved" behind the screen title. See:
Menu Item :: Link - Content Item **NEW** , Menu Item :: Link - Static Content **NEW** , Menu Item :: Link - News Feed **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Contact Category **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Content Category **NEW** , Menu Item: Link - Component Item **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - News Feed Category **NEW** , Menu Item :: Table - Web Link Category **NEW**
Nothing else.
I will continue by reviewing the rest of Menus.

15. News Feed Category Manager **NEW**
- Unnecessary link => News Feed Category: New or Edit (You could change it for News Feed Category Manager)
***** Manual signatures are NOT allowed *****
I have noticed other matters with regard to consistency usage too:
1. Titles of "[Components] Category Manager" have been written in several ways:
- "Category Manager: [ Component: Contact ]" vs "Contact Category Manager".
- "Category: New or Edit [ Contact: category_name ]" vs "Contact Category: New or Edit "
- "Category Manager [ Component: News Feeds ] vs News Feed Category Manager **NEW**
- "Category: New or Edit [ News Feeds: category_name ] vs "News Feed Category: New or Edit"
- Whereas for "Web link Component" only has been used "Web Link Category Manager" & "Web Link Category: New or Edit" .
2. There is no consistency for "Menu Item :: [menu_name]" titles too. For example, you have written:
- A case: "Menu Item: Table - Web Link Category"
- Another: "Add / Edit Menu Item :: Component [ Polls]" => This must be "Menu Item :: Component [ Polls]".
=> I can do a list with those cases if you agree.
I have finished the Components Menu Help Screens review:
1. Components - What are they? **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Content (see Related Information)
- Minor issue => Perhaps you can reorder the Related Information links.
2. Banners - What are they? **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Manage Banners (see Description)

9. Contact Category Manager **NEW**

I would like to send you the document by e-mail.
Please contact me by pm.

Pathway - due to variation did not consider appropriate to include.
Full Menu - this was done but not uploaded for some reason
I have to repeat that most of the link errors are simply because of this damned JCE "updating" issue, and the way it handles code such as the split links issue you have raised a number of times. I like its convenience but that has been negated by the duplication of effort that all this has required.
Thanks

Re: Help Screens 1.0.x Suggestions, Corrections etc
Hi Andy,
First of all, I have finished the link/image review for the rest of Help Screens.
I found these issues:
A) MAMBOTS MENU HELP SCREENS
You must review the Mambot's Help Screen titles for consistency.
1. Mambots - What are they? **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Edit [ Code Support ] (see Related Information)
2. Mambot Manager [Site] ** NEW**
- Incorrect link => Site Mambot: New screen (see Toolbar description)
- Incorrect link => Edit [ Code Support ] (see Related Information)
- Unnecessary link => Mambot Manager [ Site ] (see Related Information)
3. Site Mambots: New or Edit **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Edit [ Code Support ] (see Related Information)
- Unnecessary link => Site Mambot: New (see Related Information)
4. I found the same issues for all "Site Mambot: Edit [ Mambot Type ]" Help Screens.
- Incorrect link => Edit [ Code Support ] (see Related Information)
- Unnecesary link => For example, "Edit [ MOS Image ]" related information link into "Edit [ MOS Image ]" Help Screen (the same for the rest).
++++++
B) INSTALLERS MENU HELP SCREENS
1. Install new Template [ Administrator ] **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Template Manager [ Administrator ] (see "The Success..." description)
- A minor issue => Perhaps unnecessary links: Site Template - Assign & Template Chooser
2. Install new Language - Site ** NEW**
- Incorrect link => Language Manager (see "The Success..." description)
- Incorrect links => Language Manager , Languages Forum (see Related Information)
3. Install New Modules and Manage Installed Modules **NEW**
- Incorrect link => Install New Components (see Related Information)
4. Install New Mambots and Manage Installed Mambots **NEW**
- Incorrect links => Install New Components , Install New Modules (see Related Information)
++++++
C) MESSAGES MENU HELP SCREENS
You must split the content for "New Private Message". As i have mentioned on Back-end reviewing document, there is a Help Button into the Core Screen (for New Message) but now there is no Help Screen.
++++++
D) SYSTEM MENU HELP SCREENS
1. System Information **NEW**
- Wrong screenshot => Information Tab (on IE 7)
- Wrong screenshot => Permissions Tab (on IE 7)
2. Global Check-in **NEW**
- A minor issue => The 1.0.12 version icon is aligned to the right.
++++++
E) HELP MENU HELP SCREENS
- Wrong screenshot => Help Screen 1.0.12
- Perhaps a link error => Check the "Joomla! Developer Portal" link => It links to the forge (see it at "Menu Bar description" and "Related Information).
- A minor issue => Clean the colon for each Related Information link.
++++++
Moreover, with regard to the Back-end review (the doc i have sent you), there is an error for "Check Version" comment. Now, i see this help screen actually exists, nevertheless there is no HTML file into \help folder for it.

Hi Leandro,
All completed and a few other bits found along the way.
Thanks

All completed and a few other bits found along the way.
The link in the core files appears to have been changed/corrupted. There is little that can be done about it now. The key ref on the doc is correct as it is in the HTML file - it seems to be another occurrence of the issue spotted with other items. There was originally just the one screen and this continues to be the case.C) MESSAGES MENU HELP SCREENS
You must split the content for "New Private Message". As i have mentioned on Back-end reviewing document, there is a Help Button into the Core Screen (for New Message) but now there is no Help Screen.
Yep it has just been missed in the turmoil of getting it ready back in December - hopefully it will be easily rectified with the Help Patch file. Moreover, with regard to the Back-end review (the doc i have sent you), there is an error for "Check Version" comment. Now, i see this help screen actually exists, nevertheless there is no HTML file into \help folder for it.

Let me do a suggestion,
The key reference for "Messages Inbox" Help Screen is "screen.messages.inbox".
There is a key reference for "New Private Message" Core Screen labeled as "screen.messages.edit".
A possible solution would be to create a new Help Screen named "New Private Message" at Help Site which would include that key reference (screen.messages.edit). In this way we have a individual Help Screen for this Core Screen too.

Re: Help Screens 1.0.x Suggestions, Corrections etc
Hi
There are two screens associated with messages 1 is inbox 2 is configuration. Creating another document with a new key reference is not going to make the button on the Messages Toolbar work.
The Help panel from the Control Panel includes the Inbox screen and it works fine. That is my main concern.

Re: Help Screens 1.0.x Suggestions, Corrections etc
There are three screens and three help buttons associated with messages actually (1 is "inbox", 2 is "configuration" and 3 is "inbox=>new message") and there are three key references (1 is "screen.messages.inbox", 2 is "screen.messages.conf" and 3 is "screen.messages.edit"). So i said the issue could be solved by creating a new Help Screen at Help Site for the third.humvee wrote:There are two screens associated with messages 1 is inbox 2 is configuration. Well if you would "actually" like to show me where there is a third help button on these screens I will gladly look at it again but the toolbars I have and that are displayed only show there to be two.

This is the help screen:
The help button includes "screen.messages.edit" key reference.

Re: Help Screens 1.0.x Suggestions, Corrections etc
Don't worry. I see that you have created the new Help Screen.humvee wrote:Sorry Leandro now on the same page with experimentation.
All is OK now. Thanks very much.

Re: Help Screens 1.0.x Suggestions, Corrections etc
Hi Andy,
Whenever you can address, there are some pending issues (i reported them on my review as "Incorrect help screen, key reference or link", highlighted in red color).
These are:
1. "User Manager" help screen at Help site, you must retype the key reference to "screen.users" (now the key reference is "screen.users.edit").
2. "User Manager [ User : Edit ]" help screen at Help site, you must retype the key reference to "screen.users.edit" (now the key reference is "screen.users.edit2").
3. "Menu Manager [ mainmenu ]" help screen. We have mentioned it above (the help button links to "Menu Item: Link - Content Item"). You said the key reference (screen.menus) is placed into the correct Help Screen. Perhaps it can be duplicated (see "Menu Item: Link - Content Item" at Help Site).
4. "Site Mambots: New / Edit" help screen. This could be a similar issue (the help button links to "Site Mambot: MOS Image"). If the key reference (screen.mambots.edit) is placed into the correct Help Screen, you can check if it is duplicated (see "Site Mambot: MOS Image" at Help Site).
Note: Solution you have adopted for "Template Manager [Site]" Help Screen (the strategy redirecting to the correct screen) could be applied to another cases (see the review for issues highlighted in orange color) => Perhaps you are already doing it .
