User Guide available in Word Processor (MS-Word?) Format?

Greetings,

I am webmaster (and president) of a local professional group.  I've moved our web site over to Joomla! and now find myself needing to make some custom documentation for my organization so they can contribute/maintain content.  Obviously, several chapters from the Joomla! User Manual would be a great start.  However, trying to cut/paste from a .pdf is a nightmare. 

Any chance I can get the original word processing (MS-Word?) document to use as a base?

The manual is not available in Word.

I trust that any use of the manual content will be carried out in accordance with the CC Licence under which the document was released .
