Every time I use my SVN to check out i get a box asking for a user name and password... when i input mine it doesn't take it and asks again erasing the fields. What's going on?

How can i fix it?

Have you been able to access the SVN for a project that you are a part of?

you can get the nightly build from SNV here: http://dev.joomla.org/content/view/17/60/#nightly

we have confirmed that there is an issue. Unfortunately, the resident expert on this is sleeping. Gotta love Time Zones. Anyway, it should be fixed this afternoon (US Time). We will keep you posted. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

To be honest, I have not set up SVN to talk to JoomlaCode yet. It is on my ever growing list of things to do. :) According to the other thread, it looks like things are good for the time being.

managed to access for some seconds, until SmartSVN reported a 500 Internal Server Error.

Looks like it just does not work at all...

EDIT: it's working now. But it's really unreliable. BTW: i'm anonymously checking out Joomla.

No chance to get access to SVN. I tried anonymous as well as data from a registered account.

I'd appreciate an update on whether we have now got this sorted.

Thanks.

During another attempt to anonymously check Joomla out... (using user:anonymous pass:(empty))

svn: PROPFIND of '/svn/joomla/development/trunk/administrator/components/com_installer/views/plugins/tmpl': 401 Authorization Required

I'm starting to wonder if it's just my client doing something wrong...

Don't think so. I was able to access properly yesterday, and are now experiencing the same as well.

I have found that on large commits or checkouts that I have been asked for Authentication a couple of times through out the  transfer... When I say large, I mean maybe asked once or twice during a 50MB checkout or commit...

Now it's going again...

What happens is that the login works fine for some time (Joomla! qualifies as a large checkout) and then suddenly it stops and asks for authentication. Then the server does no more accept anonymous login and it keeps returning 401. No matter how many times you try, it's stuck. Then after some time, suddenly you try again and it works.

Perhaps related to something else happening during my (long) checkout... maybe some commit?

Hi,

I have had problems on and off to access SVN as described earlier in this thread. SVN ask me for username and passsword and it doesn't help if I change to our own Swedish translation project or trying to get J1.5.

I connected to SVN earlier today but for the last hour I have the same problems as before (asking me for username and password, that  I input correctly, but can't get in).

:)

/Chrille

Sam and Brad have found the cause of the authentication boxes, this at least makes us halfway there. Now to find the last half and fix this once and for all.
