remove language code from url in SEF mode

Post by themystic.ca » Mon May 07, 2007 8:41 pm

I really like how Joomla and JoomFish work. I especially like how JF uses accept lang and makes it transparent to the user. However, I have found that the language code gets put into the url (/content/category/1/1/3/lang,en/)  when I turn SEF/SEO on.

Is there a simple way to turn this off?

without hacking the core files, there is no way to do it.

Can you tell me where the language variable "&lang=en" is stored on multilingual sites?
It is only passed when native SEO is swtiched on, but it must be stored somewhere (I hope)  8)

See http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,198331.0.html

I'm looking for a way to resolve an issue with some scripts, and knowing where that language variable can be retrieved would be a big help.
