Post by sweetnovember » Wed May 30, 2007 4:07 pm

Since Fantastico is still running the earlier version of Joomla, I installed manually Joomla 1.5. Now I want to uninstall it. And I just don't know how. Need your help.

Hope to hear your instruction.

Thanks a lot!

Desperately yours,
sweetnovember

Simply delete the database use by Joomla! 1.5 through the cPanel Database Manager interface, then either FTP in to you hosting account or use cPanel's File Manager and delete all the v1.5 files and directories.

Hi RussW,

thank you for your reply.

Meanwhile, I have several subdomains attached to that domain with 1.5 version. When I look the cPanel File Manager (public html), I am scared which to delete. I couldn't find Joomla 1.5 folder.

thank you,
sweetnovember

p.s. like your nose :)

There is not a default folder for Joomla! installs, it will be in the directory that you chose to copy all the Joomla! files in to at the time of installation. Deleting Joomla! has not effect on domains, that is managed through cPanel.
