Payment Gateway for a Mambo site

Post by daworm » Wed Aug 31, 2005 12:22 pm

Anybody knows of a good payment gateway that can accept payment for my website which has a local clientele? Aside from 2checkout, ikobo, greenzap and paypal, ooops la pala paypal, could you suggest others even local players.

I used to process payment into my websites through ikobo.com but lately they stop providing merchant accounts so purely remittances na cla ngayon.

I'd recommend looking at authorize.net.

hello, our company uses http://www.payplus.com.ph

check http://nivha.ion.ph

you can buy GO! internet cards there but you need to be registered, and only villagers are eligible. but you can try to register, i'l just enable your account. :)

with payplus you have to pay one-time P10,000 ( if you want full control) but they also have other plans.

then P20 per transaction. customers can pay through their ATM (bancnet or megalink).

I also gave away the script that powers nivha.ion.ph http://www.payplus.com.ph/MerchantDownloads.htm ( Alternative PAYplus+ PHP CURL Parser) but the link doesn't work so you can download it here.

Do you have a joomla module to inter-act with your server already? I would be great if you'd be developing a module/component for this and plugable to virtuemart too. PAYplus is a Filipino endeavor right?

the payplus module i made was for mambo PHPShop, but i did a lot of work around which can be too complicated to release for the public. I still have to improve it.

Payplus is owned by Yehey.com , a pilipino corporation.

Wala pang magandang payment gateway dito pre. Sa project ko ngayon, account talaga sa labas ang ginamit, tapos ang mahal pa ng mga payment gateways.

I haven't used PayPlus yet, but I'm guessing from their website that they merely resell and repackage the online payment systems of Bancnet and Unionbank's Megalink.

I've had experienced with Bancnet's and Unionbank's Megalink, although they cater to "bigger merchants." Just read the fineprint, and don't be afraid to negotiate the fees and quotas.

You can also secure your own merchant account from HSBC and Citibank. Again, read the fine print (esp their rules on chargebacks). And yes, most of these providers require you to have a bond.

To conclude: Hassle talaga ang mga providers dito -- even the 3rd party providers. Most of them rip you off with setup fees, quotas, & the like. I would suggest you use an off-shore 3rd party merchant account like PayPal, Ikobo, & Moneybookers. I can say much, pero baka maging nobela.

(By the way, I don't recommend 2checkout. Long story.)

There's payeasy.ph but setup is 25k plus 5,000 monthly fee or 6% of total sales if greater. Hehe. If your site makes 6k a month 5k goes to them. LOL iba basta pinoy.

http://checkout.google.com/sell <-- cheaper than paypal but to U.S. residents only. I doubt if it'll ever become available in Pinas. Our local banks won't allow them.

ahhh ic. yun nga lang.... left out ang atm users. ang tanong din ay.. eto bang mga atm users has using their atm for online transaction? gaano ba sila gadami? they have buying powers? hehe. maybe soon.. indi pa kasi ganun ka click ang online business sa pinas. malulugi ka sa setup fee lang ng local payment gateway.

theres a movement now for Paypal for the Philippines .. makakatulong ang isang signature nyo. http://paypalnow.com.ph/
