I have put together a joomla package for schools to help them setup a website quickly with minimal fuss.  It has been created for the users at http://www.edugeek.net but thought I would share it here too.

http://www.edugeek.octoink.co.uk

This was inspired by the Joomlashack shack pack.  But this is free :D

Cheers

Wow thanks for that Brian that was quick!

I am just ironing out a few of the kinks that have been found by fellow edugeek users.  But feedback so far has been positive.

Thanks again for your support.

I just started using Joomla and installed the Joomlashack education template, but yours looks impressive.
Which version /s of Joomla can it be installed on?

Thx

Should work on any 1.0.x version.  The demo site is running 10.0.12  Have yet to test on 1.5

Sysman_MK -

You should be very proud of your efforts. I take a peak in at EduGeek from time to time - and the Joomla! threads. What you have worked on with the others is evidence that the community is really starting to mature. Many will benefit from these efforts and I *applaud* you!

Thanks so very much!  :-*

Hello!

I am not quite sure what is this package for.. Is it focused to make an alumni activity?? If yes, can someone show how it works in reality, as a demo?

Thanks

The second link is the demo - and the first is where people can participate in the project, helping with the work and providing input for direction. The configuration is for use by a school - teachers - students - parents - administrators. It is very nice.

HTH,
Amy :)
