Please post the best extensions for 1.5 in this thread. (No Legacy Mode, Native extensions only)

I'm looking for a WYSIWYG, gallery, and and image viewer in content items like Simple Image Gallery.

That's a very broad request.  You can try Joomla 1.5 Extension Directory.  The only thing I don't know if some of them requires legacy-mode.

that's what i am trying to gather a list of non- legacy extensions. Ones that work and are good and people are willing to recommend. I have not seen a list of these yet. I proves difficult when searching. Some have even said 1.5 but were actually 1.0

So far my list only contains one:

mod_zulu  (count down to date) - worked flawlessly

In line with above, we strongly advice to list out all Joomla 1.5 extensions, native base ONLY.

Some advice for Joomla org: We come from postnuke and saw this community hit hard because the change over to completely new, rewritten version took too long: Users did not invest in the old. Many community members walked to alternatives. Advice: Make the change from 1x to 1.5 a fast and painful one. Stop the (labor intensive, non-working) legacy plugin, support the old 1x version for a while more instead.

The 1.5 template contest is a great initiative!
Have the final and stable 1.5 next month, (even if not stable - but acceptable).
Stimulate 1.5 extension work by showing an explicit link listing these.

We go for 1.5 (only), the code quality is very good and we love the activity of the Joomla dev community.
Thank you very much.

Hi,

totally agree with what has been said here. I have about 20 Joomla 1.0.x sites on the go for my various customers with different extensions installed for each of them. I will need to know if and when I can start migrating (or when there are enough 1.5 native extensions available to start off with 1.5 for a new customer). So a separate list of 1.5 extensions or an easy way to search for 1.5 extensions on the extension site would be hugely appreciated !!

Cheers,

Patrick

Hi again,

was a bit too quick. Found this link in other thread:

http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

Apparently it lists the 1.5 compatible extensions, but I don't think it is a 'native 1.5 only' list.

Cheers,

Patrick

I think we need a good shopping cart which work great with joomla 1.5
and I think VirtueMart 2 is a good things if the virtue mart developments is not long.
if people need the longer time, they will try to find alternative

and it will be great if Joomla supported by good extentions

so, I hope we will see a good virtuemart 2 soon

we can see the forum here http://forum.virtuemart.net/

Are there any modules for Comunity Builder please?

I'm really getting crazy trying to find some modules for CB, like New registered users, birthdays today, etc

Thanks in advance

Well, I wouldn't recomend using that site for determining 1.5 compatability.  It has my PageCache 1.0 listed as 1.5 compatable (which it most certainly is not).
