Joomla! vbridge Discussion Bot 1.1 Beta released


I have work the whole weekend and all vBridge Addons are finished, so before i will release verything, i want you to check the DiscussionBot if you find issues and if please report them here, so i or we can fix them asap.

Is now multidatabaseable, tested with Joomla! 1.0.3 and vBulletin 3.5 Gold


Installation - Discussion mambot

This can be used also with or without vBridge.
Make sure you make the right setting in the bot parameter page in the Joomla! back-end.
Joomla! and vBulletin must use the same database.

Also you have to add a field in the #__content table ( if you have installed vBridge this is already done )

ALTER TABLE #__content ADD `vb_threadid` INT( 10 ) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL

Features
On Front page see a Comment link the counts of the replies or 0 if none.
If none you can create a new thread in the defined forum otherwise you will see the posts under the article (in the full view of the article - "read more")

Usage
(1) {mos_vbridge_discuss} - you must define a default discussion board in your parameters.
(2) {mos_vbridge_discuss:2} - "2" is an vBulletin Forum ID.

Please go to vBulletin discuss bot and click save to initialize parameters.

do i run that SQl inquery?

I fixed it i had a problem with the module lol i reuploaded and its ok now also had to fill in the info which wasnt there before i reuplaoded

No problem i think the joomla didnt install all the info maybe was a browser error. Fixed now thou

If the discuss bot is published on my site, I get a blank screen for all my joomla pages. I have Joomla 1.02 and VB 3.5 with Vbridge installed. This problem started even before I updated my the discussion bot. I was able to publish 2 articles with comments linking to my forums and then when I did the 3rd one, it stopped working totally. Any help? I've had to disable it because of thsi problem.

The same for me. Joomla 1.0.3, vBulletin 3.5.0 and vBridge 1.22

Hi Predator,

again nice work the Bot, but i've some questions...

We have installed the discussionbot on our Page:

In the Item above, i've included the bot, and it has created the Comment-Thread in the board...

Now i've some questions about Functions and Features:

- Is it possible to not show the first Post, the one with the short version of the article?
- Is it possible, that the Thread isn't oppened throug the admin, but through the one who posted the News (i use it with vBridge)?
- Is it possible to have a fast reply box below the allready posted Comments (like here: http://www.computerbase.de/news/softwar ... rraschung/)
-  How can i change the look of the posted Comments, so they fit better in our Layout (beside CSS)
- Is it possible, thet the {MosImage} and other "Tags" arent displayed in the Forum (It displays the folowing in the Board the access there is restricted, so i post it here:
- Is it possible to change the Text: Read the full article
- Is it possible to automaticly ad the MamBot at the Bottom of every posted Item/Article in a Category in Joomla?
- Is it possible to correctly display special characters (i don't know the correct term)
- When i use it whit vBridge (when i set the option to yes) it doesnt links correctly into the board, it always sends me to the registration!

I hope you can help me, and i also hope i could give you some input
