When going to Administrator > Content > Article manager and changing the settings to show "linked titles", this does not appear to work? Looking at the frontpage, I'm not getting any linked titles at all.

You forgot one thing. Pls change also menu item parameters. It works OK on 7393.

Kelb, you are spot on, with the menu item param set it works.

Marking as NOT BUG and moving to Resolved.

It is maybe not a bug, but an option is missing then: "Use global" instead of just Yes/No for Linked Titles.
According to Louis' description, you should be able to set a global param, override in component config via menu item, and override again on a per-item basis.
If the "Use Global" option is not available in component config, this chain of inheritance/override is broken.

Addendum: this should really be an available and default param', so a site admin can set this on a global basis and needn't worry about users/contributor not getting it right..

Hi Joe,

You are right, good you mention that flow Louis explained. I'll mark it back as UNDER REVIEW and move the topic to the active reports again.

Marking this as FIXED, as there is now a Use Global option on Parameters - Component available for the linked titles.

Having the  problem that Global Configuration/content/Linked Titles/Yes  is not working on Joomla 1.0.12.
I did not understand the fix.
Is there a parameter to set to "7393"?
A component to install?  (download link?)

Please explain a little more.
Thx.

@Pintobuck

This forum concerns 1.5 and not 1.0.12.

Any issue with 1.0.12 please post in the 1.0.x forums.

Good point about the forum being for Joomla 1.5.  I did not notice.
When I searched the site, this thread title was perfect for my problem.

Thx.
