In Joomla 1.0.X it is possible to create a blog category menu with 2 or more category.

In joomla 1.5 this is not possible! it is true?

I hope it is my mistake because this function is powerfull to make cross-sectional navigation in contents.

I never realized this before and I think you may be right. 

I'm hopeful this will be a last minute addition as I can't see this functionality being something that would have been intentionally removed.

This was reported some time ago at 1.5 Q&T board:

- Category Blog Layout: Selecting more than one category

There are also several missed/removed parameters in another layouts, for example: Standard Section Layout. We are trying to do a global report of those, see too: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,166103.0.html
