:( And I needed to get the full install of 1.1.3. Shoulda got it the other day with the upgrade.zip.. Or Should I? lol

For a newbie, just learning Joomla!, should I be concerned?

Joomla.org's usual front page is missing - the single page says "Hacked by [hacker reference removed - pe7er]"!!! What is going on???

But now it shows a hacked graphic instead of the Joomla logo.

Something is seriously wrong in the Joomla home at this time.

since everything else is in tact , looks like a index.php was left on 777 , they did not enter the server otherwise everything would be down, I hope this will get resolved soon

This is a Sites and Infrastructure issue.  I am going to move this post to that forum. 

Please do not post screen shots and give advertising to the hackers, why anyone would want to give advertising to any person, group etc that hacks other's sites is beyond me and is so unbelievably rude and inconsiderate.

If is was the core joomla and not component or even server (which i hope not), which version of Joomla is running joomla.org ???
