Hi guys!

Im often clueless when it comes to servers and such- and all the back-end fun! However, Im starting to have to deal with it now.
I know we're running a win2k server in the back, joomla is set up with PHP5 and mySQL database-.

What happened is we moved the site from one drive to another, and re-set the permissions.

So now whats happening is
- that when i try to upload files through the Media Manager, it doesn't work, no error, no nothing.
- When I try to update configuration.php, it doesn't save the anything- no error again just doesn't save, AND it still says that "configuration.php is writeable

I figure its a permission thing-- can anyone help me out? What should I check?

Also check that your URL matches your mosconfiglivesite in configuration.php.

For example if you're accessing from http://www.mysite.com/administrator and your configuration.php says http://mysite.com (no www), SOMETIMES Joomla doesn't like that and certain editing functions just don't work... and don't show you the error.

It depends on your host, how apache is configured, etc... I'm not familiar with the reasons apache does it, just how to work around it when it happens.
