located in ../images/favicon.ico

replace with your own image and call that favicon.ico and upload to the images-folder

In the Joomla locate the folder .../images/favicon.ico

Just Edit this icon in your own icon. Or Go to the General Configuration from your joomla administrator in the icon box just change the name in the icon u created. in the above folders of joomla.

You need to wait until your browser stops caching the original image. Its nice to have a favicon, makes your site look more professional, and favicons today are standard functionality both in FireFox and IE.

just for the record...........

if you want it indeed completely removed look for this in your ../template/name_of_template/index.php
Quote:
it is located in/near the meta-info of your templates index.php..... delete that line and it is gone (make copy first!)

cheers
Leo
