sa aking pagmumuni muni... aking naisip na hindi lahat ng isang salita sa filipino ay may katumbas na isang salita din sa ingles at sa iba pang wike... gaya nalang ng ating pinag uusapan dito...

doon namang sa salitang "toothpaste" sa ingles... natatandaan ko pa ang sinabi ng aking guro sa filipino 101 noong ako'y nag aaral pa lamang sa probinsya. ang sabi ... may mga salitang ingles na walang katumbas na salita sa tagalog.. gaya nalang ng sumusunod:

toothpaste at cake

... ito ay unti lang sa mga ingles na salitang ating inampon.

ang toothpaste ay kadalasan nating ginagamit sa salitang tagalog at ito'y nagiging tutpeys, samantalang ang cake naman ay ginagawa din nating keyk.

yun lamang po.

napapalitan ng ibang salita mula sa banyaga. Sana sa ating kumunidad
muli nating mabuhay ang mga nawawalang salita ng mga Filipino :)

yeah tama.. tulad din ng "bra" malice aside ang tamang saling wika ay "salung suso". ;)

makes a lot of sense that there are no literal transalation of such word.
