I've installed Xdebug just to see how it works: I've turned off caching (BTW, my "patch" for eaccelerator hasn't been merged, I thought it was  :( ), it seems there are some of these:

Code:
if (count($foo))
do_something();
else
do_something_else(count($foo));

Here's a patch for couple of those. Also, with my setup JRegistryFormatINI->_stringToObject() calls substr() 726 times which (if I'm reading it right) accounts for 99% of exec time.  ;)

I did on a previously found bug, I've even included a patch and it didn't get picked up which is strange because the bug is not minor and the patch is trivial (three lines of code). ???

Anyway, yes, I'll open a tracker issue.

The former bug has been considered as not urgent for 1.5.
It is to be taken into account for 1.5.1 as quite a few others.
Thanks.  :)
