The bridge from Freeway to Joomla is now completed in Alpha.

You can view it on the extension site here: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

Freeway is an advanced Open Source eCommerce platform which extends beyond selling products to a wide range of services including appointments and bookings, event ticketing and subscriptions. The overall goal of this sub-project is to fully integrate Freeway with Joomla giving CMS users full eCommerce functionality. It is part of the Freeway goal to extend as a portable eCommerce application, part of it's eCommerce 2.0 strategy.

At time of writing the extension only integrates the sale of Freeway products. Updates will come regularly now. It is anticipated full integration (Stage 2) with full database and template integration will be coming out of Beta by Mid February 2008.

We look forward to making this integration work really smoothly and helping lots of Joomla sites more profitable.

Cheers,

Damian

Hi there,

We have just added a Beta of the extension to the Freeway site. http://www.openfreeway.com/extensions.html Please give it a test and let us know if there are any issues still. I am adding the Joomla sections to the Joomla Extensions area now. Thanks to all who pointed out issues in the Alpha.

Cheers,

Damo

Hi all,

The single Component and five Modules are now listed in the Joomla extension directory. We look forward to you trying out the integration and seeing how you can now do some really powerful eCommerce.

Cheers,

Damian

The Freeway Bridge for Joomla 1.0 is now available from the Joomla extension site. There is a more extensive Freeway integration for Joomla 1.5 as well. You can see all of them here:

http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... /cat_id,0/

We are currently building a series of extensions for displaying purchase history and a linkage where valid subscriptions purchased in Freeway allow access to subscriber only content in Joomla.

All extensions will be listed as stable by the end of this week.

Cheers,

Damian Hickey
