I would contribute funding! One caveat, however; I'd like to see it work with Community Builder.

I would also be willing to contribute to this project. Find a good programmer, though. I'm not convinced that this is going to be very easy!

Has there been any development on this?? I'd love to see something bringing the two together and do away with yanc!

Our site plan has changed a bit, so we no longer require this intergration.

However, we are looking for developer(s) to help us complete a project. We need custom scripts and add-ons built for these open source technologies;

* Open-Realty
* PHPlist
* RSS

This is paid work. We plan to share the scripts and add-ons with the open source community where possible.

Please see http://lucion.com.ar/jobs/ for details.

The word is that there is a PHPlist API under works.  Any PHPlist/Joomla intergration should probably stay on hold until this is released.  It will make PL-Anything intergration a breeze.

If you're a developer and can/want to work on the joomla intergration, get me a message and I'll bring you up to date on this.

I am not a developer, but am desperately interested in the progress on this integration.

There is no API available for PHPlist...yet. There has been discussion about the beginnings of an API and the SOAP protocol on the developer discussion list in the past few weeks. Things could open up there quickly from what I can tell.

You can read the emails between the developers here:

It's already been done.  It doesn't utilize phplist's API (still not integrated :) ), or Joomla 1.5's developer features. It's also not open-source, or free.  I haven't tried it out:

I noted that on extensions, but I also noted around some bad reports about this bridge

So my dubt was if Is There any good integration  ??? (under GNU, or some trips)
(seem that all the mailing components are not completely, small bugs and not so more supported well)

(thinking on multi lists and a lot of subscribers (more than 10.000)

We have started this component, and it is a larger undertaking, similar to an osCommerce integration, but we are
capable and willing.
Features:  Full CB Integration,
              Full VirtueMart Integration
              Seamless Administration with improved UI
              Automatic Subscribe / Unsubscribe -- multiple lists
PHPlist will have streamlined admin panel for manager login with advanced tab for more complex items
not needed to send a basic message  (available just off to the side for easier workflow)

Autoresponder feature:  timed/scheduled emails can be sent upon registration (eg x days/weeks after reg;
so that a series of marketing emails can be scheduled automatically).

We will need approximately $2000.00 to complete the component, any donations will be appreciated and all donors
will receive a copy when complete (minimum $ 100.00 US)

Please send a message (don't post here) if you are in need of this component and tell me of your specific requirements.
Thanks,
Frank

That sounds excellent! :)

It sounds like you won't be releasing the software open-source, is that right?

Will it be available commercially?  Or only to donors?

I am using the latest Community Builder in Joomla 1.0.11 and Virtuemart 1.0.7.

I installed one of the available hacks to add shipping to the CD profiles. This works but the issue i have is that a user can register for a new account in VM but needs to log in through the CB component and the VM login does not work because I am using CB.

If this can be solved I will gladly contribute. Has this been integrated already or where can I find the answer????

Thanks!  CN

Hi Frank.
Any public news/update on this development?
I, and many other people, are interested in an open source phplist-Joomla integration.

Regards,
Jonathan

FYI, I have installe the latest 1.0.12 Joomla, 1.0.2 CB and 1.0.10 VM ... ? the latest... and it seems to work fine now. Try it and run some tests. Let me know if it has issues but we seem to be doing ok with our installation.

I have tried it - on two servers - and I cannot get it to work - and the documentation is scarce. I paid for it though.

Any updates or alternative suggestions. I'd like people to be able to subscribe from the front page of my joomla site.

Any news on a GNU version of an autoresponder that integrates with CB and subscribe for Joomla 1.5?

How satisfied are you with Acajoom? Is it as full featured as PHPlist?

I never got PHP bridge to work - even though I paid for it. Acajoom has a free component and it works brilliantly. It rocks!

I know that this thread was out-of-date. but for your information, I've built a new solution for Joomla + phplist. I'm documenting and going to publish on the next week.
I hope this will be useful for the community.

.. and seeing as you will not be allowed to self promote on the forum, we might as well lock this thread now ;)
