I am sad to let you all know that I handed in my resignation as a member of the Joomla! core team last week.  The reasons for my departure are many, and at this point I am not prepared to say more than "I cannot compromise my ethics and principles anymore".

Andrew accepted my resignation at the time. Despite several requests on my part to have my status as Core Team Member removed from the forum, I am still labelled as a core member here.  Despite someone else having now become the new lead for the U&A group, I'm still labelled as moderator of the U&A forum.

I hope an official announcement will be made shortly.  But until then, I request once more, and publicly this time, that my status on these forum be removed.

Hi folks,

As Nic is now aware this is a bit of chicken and egg. We've had an announcement in process but the nature of time zones has seen some misunderstanding. Nic and I have just shared this a few minutes ago and it's unfortunate we didn't communicate directly earlier.

No one's fault.

I'd like to congratulate Nic on his hard work and effort with U & A and commitment to the community.

I also look forward to Nic continuing to contribute in the future.
