Hey guys,

Just wondering what you guys use for your anti virus and trojan removal? I think I may have become infected by a trojan. I deleted the file but I still want to be sure. So if anyone can recommend a free solution I'd appreciate it.

Spyblaster

HijackThis (using hijackthis.de site to view results)
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
SuperAntiSpyware
Avast AntiVirus

I use them all once a momth and have never had a virus/malware attack ever.

For anti-virus I would have to recommend the free versian of AVG: http://free.avg.com/

For trojans and other spyware/malware/adware, I highly recommend Spybot S&D: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

I've actually used nod32 from eset for the past three years on a few of my computers. Firewall, anti-spam and antivirus all in one sort of thing. Best little investment that i've ever made. Next up on my list if Kaspersky AV. :)

I am sure this post will benefit many:

Nowadays viruses/trojans/spyware are being delivered from very genuine websites.. Just visit them & you have an infection in your computer. Many of these websites are compromised. Use Mcafee site advisor tool. It is free & you would be surprised as to how many search results you would have otherwise visited are infected...

Cheers

After my entire office and server (including several Joomla! websites) were infected, I now run Malwarebytes, Avast Antivirus (my fav) and/or Panda Antivirus on every machine.

Malwarebytes, McAfee and Avast were the first to recognize the specific trojan we had because it was so new at the time it got us.

Unfortunately, Nortons missed it entirely and that's what most of the machines had been running.

Hello,
There are so many free anti-virus on internet by which you can scan your computer but as i know they are not that effective and not able to clean your computer with big viruses like trojan. so buy any good antivirus so that it will protect your computer.

good luck!!
