What music are you listening while using or developing for Joomla! ?

Last.fm is a music engine based on a massive collection of Music Profiles. Each music profile belongs to one person, and describes their taste in music. Last.fm uses these music profiles to make personalized recommendations, match you up with people who like similar music, and generate custom radio stations for each person.

I am just beginning to learn how to integrate audio/shoutcast or other web radio player into Joomla (preferably as a module), so perhaps at last.fm we can share experiences. I've searched unsuccessfully to find a mod, yet I'll keep investigating.

Come on people.. what could be more cool than a Joomla radio station?  We need at least 15 people to sign up so that we have a broadcast of our own.  I for one am looking forward to some new picks in music, and hearing what everyone else is listening to - maybe some of you need some sprucing up of the playlists too...

Hope my playlist doesn't muck up things...it gets noisy.  :laugh:

I recall that one person endeavored to make a module for last.fm, but not really using an API.  Shows the admin's last 10 tracks played. parsed from the last.fm RSS feed.

An interesting starting point might be this code here...picks up most anything that's available as a text export from last.fm...

Put one and one together and it could be one slick module for a site's admin, at least.  It might probably be most interesting as a Community Builder plugin or component, where each user gets a chart, barring any bandwidth limitations last.fm has.
