I'm a new Joomla convert from Wordpress so I don't have everything figured out yet. What I am trying to do is make search engine friendly URLs with the ZOO Blog app and I haven't been able to figure out how to do it exactly.

Things I have tried..

-Global Configuration
-Remove Site Name (Leave it blank)
-This leaves my home page title blank
-ZOO Blog then creates titles as " - Article Name"

Example would be.. http://titanmarketingtools.com/item/aut ... tware.html
(As of right now I have site name set to "Titan Internet Marketing Tools" in GLOBAL CONFIG)

So far I haven't been able to find any settings in sh404sef or the ZOO Blog application to modify this title format.

I'd like each blog post to use just the title of the article.

Example: http://titanmarketingtools.com/item/aut ... tware.html
Title: Autoresponder Software

My default SEO practice is not to use the "blog title | article title" format because of how long the site name is. I need the home page to say "Titan Internet Marketing Tools" because I will be going page1 spot1 for "Internet Marketing Tools".

Any help would be appreciated!

Install sh404sef
Rename Htaccess.txt to .htaccess
Activate SEF in Global configuration with Mod_rewrite selected Yes

Go to sh404sef > Meta Management
Add meta title for homepage

Repeat it for other pages.

sh404sef does it automatically as per the article title unless you have some custom titles, then you go in and set your own title for a given page.

try it.
