Install Joomla manually in XAMPP in Windows

Postby superuser77 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 7:40 pm

I found a post that showed how to install joomla 3.1.5 manually using Linux commands. Here is the link: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=707&t=817318. I would appreciate anyone who can give me those commands for xampp 1.8.3 for windows.

Which Joomla version are you trying to install ?

Check whether your system includes PHP , MySql and Apache? That is required before installing Joomla.

In that case, you can install wamp server or xampp server instead of installing them individually. That becomes easy as it includes all 3 required things (PHP, MySql, Apache).

After that, download the required Joomla version from

http://www.joomla.org/download.html

Hope this helps.
