i noticed there is not a template chooser module for j! 1.5

is there a reason for this being left out of core, or has it simply not been updated to the new fuctions? and are there any plans to include this in the release?

If it is not there now, I would guess it probably won't be (though I don't make those decisions and don't know for sure).  That being said, it would likely be a fairly trivial thing to develop as an extension...

In fact, you can most likely make this yourself much faster than using another module. :) You just have to add index.php?template= as shown in the template manager to your server adress and, boom, you have your template chooser.

EDIT: At least for the frontpage.

Hackwar, this produces a 500 error on my site

is this an older joomla! function that was also left out of joomla! or could it be because I have legacy mode disabled?
