Mambelfish and Image Gallery?

Post by janvv » Mon Apr 03, 2006 9:06 pm

I have a mulltilingual site with Mambelfish, and now I want to add an image gallery.
Which one is working with Mambelfish?
If a visitor of my site has chosen a specific language at the home page,  this language must also be his language for the image gallery.

To bad ther's no English text on the sites.  :(

Does this gallery support multilingual names/descriptions on the pictures?

But is it using Mambel/Joom/fish for the multilingual texts, or does it has its own multilingual solution?
I am looking for an image gallery which uses mambelfish...

Nice, have to test it then.
Maybe easier to use than Gallery2, not so well integrated at the moment..

Thank you for your reply Ivo.  :)

Hm.. the 1.3.2 was giving errors upon installation, but the new 1.3.3 was working..
But now I don't see how to translate the image name and description etc. by default, is there an contentelement file for JoomFish somewhere?

Anyway, I think other gallery solutions are more easy to use (image management) than this. :)

There are no content elements, anyway they are not hard to do.

I have made 2 definitions for DatsoGallery, but they not completely work in component and in the module ok.

Joom!Fish 1.7 RC and DatsoGallery 1.3.3

datsogallery.xml

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<joomfish type="contentelement">
  <name>Datsogallery Images</name>
  <author>Andrey Datso</author>
  <version>1.7</version>
  <description>Definition for image details</description>
  <reference type="">
    <table name="datsogallery">
      <field type="referenceid" name="id" translate="0">ID</field>
      <field type="titletext" name="imgtitle" translate="1">Title</field>
      <field type="text" name="imgtext" translate="1">Image Text</field>
         </table>
  </reference>
</joomfish>

datsogallery_category.xml

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<joomfish type="contentelement">
  <name>Datsogallery Category</name>
  <author>Andrey Datso</author>
  <version>1.7</version>
  <description>Definition for Datsogallery component (Category)</description>
  <reference type="">
  	<table name="datsogallery_catg">
  		<field type="referenceid" name="cid" translate="0">ID</field>
  		<field type="titletext" name="name" translate="1">Name</field>
  		<field type="htmltext" name="description" translate="1">Description</field>
  	</table>
  </reference>
</joomfish>

Hi Datso

I had to make a few minor changes to ponygallery to get joomfish to work completely.  Basically there were a few SELECT statements that did not include the primarykey of the table in the selection.  Once I added these it worked like a charm - I expect the same would be true of Datso.

This is really a question to geraint.

I am not that familiar with php and mysql, but I am experiencing a problem with ponygallery and j-fish, since I can't make it to work. Would you like to share the rewriting you did with the script?

All the best,

Erich N

I used contentelements datsogallery.xml and datsogallery_category.xml, but the translation of title and image text doesn´t work! Translation of categories works OK. Where can be the problem and how to fix it? My site: http://www.enjoyspis.sk - Joomla 1.0.12, Joomfish 1.7 and Datsogallery 1.3.8.
