Embed a quicktime mov file in content

Post by GolfVN » Tue May 23, 2006 6:55 am

I tried the html source (TinyMCE) and paste the embedding in there but it doesnt work.
How can I embed a quicktime movie file within a content item.
Thanks.

Hi,

check out this Media mambot/plugin: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

If you use that it becomes very easy to insert .mov files into your content.

Regards Robin

The Joomla Media Manager will not recognise .mov files. To enable this, add mov to the list in administrator\components\com_media\admin.media.php - Line 176
While you're at it, you may as well add any other media file type you may need.

I installed version 0.0.8 and it worked like a charm.
0.0.8 now support rm, wma, wmv, mpg, avi, mp3, mov, mp4, flv and swf.
Thanks heaps.  :D

I just installed it but it doesn't seem to work. I have mambo 4.5.2. Any suggestions?

Does the MGMEDIABOT specified above do the same thing as the ALLVIDEO 2.4 plugin ?

I'm trying to figure out how to link a .MOV to a thumbnail image myself...
