OT:

@wyzemoro - already done a little discussion about this back in "old" forums.. and ~somewhat~ we saw there is no such necessity since pinoys are most commonly and/or used to getting technical instructions in english more that Filipino(Tagalog)...

of course the idea will always be open, pls feel free to author a new thread in the Filipino General forums/section and ask fellow pinoy joobler's insights.

i didnt exaclt get the drift of your question.. (di kaya dahil naka inom lang ako.. ahihihihihih)... at any rate.. ONE thing is can tell about ANIMATED GIF's is to check @joomla-ph's signature which is very helpful to comply to basic end user standards.. you can check the site here:

http://www.catb.org/~esr/html-hell.html

as a biginner like you and ME,.. thats one resoureve HAVE TO read or a guide..... if you need color harmony in designs/frontend.. @maverick ang master dyan sa color harmony na yan

^^^ read this deeper: http://www.catb.org/~esr/html-hell.html you will understand why i told you to stick away from animated gif's,.. simply animated gif's are things of the past.. not unless you want a geocities site look in your website.

im particularly refering ot this:
"gratuitous animation
With animations you get the all the wonderful injuries of the blink tag with the added insult of the graphics download time. People who abuse these should have flip books rammed into every bodily orifice until they figure out that a two- or three-frame graphics loop is even less pleasant than that."
bec i have a feeling you want to use animated gif's right? im trying to steer you away in making a mistake of using animated gif's so that your site wont look like this: http://www.geocities.com/poppiju75/index.html (no pun intended to the site author)

not unless you will be designing a site with the theme of "kiddie web designing guide - for beginners" ~winks~ ehehhee.

this might be a little too far but I have several PSD templates but don't know how to convert them into a template. It always turns out that I have large-sized files. Hmnn... maybe I need a lot more training on this part than I thought.  :(

BTW, the links are great. I might start from there.  :D

Stopping by...
Reading...

Reaction: Very informative. I already bookmarked some useful links.

Additional Info: On PSD
One of the concept from the book titled "Professional
Web Design: Techniques and Templates" Second Edition. The author
has used the word "Mortising Images" instead of what we always use
slicing. He said,"Building a mortised site is similar to piecing together a puzzle."

Of course these puzzles are pieced together using tables and the overall
design is still managed by CSS. So I guess there is no question on the
importance of CSS. I might want to include here that the author's favorite
feature design is from the website linked below:

http://www.a5design.com/

Ang problema ko lang sa design ng author is paano ko ito iimplement
sa joomla. However, may mga techniques na very useful especially
pagmanipulate ng images with different formats.

Hanggang todits na lang po mga pinoy joomlas.
Hanap na nama ako ng mababasang forum.
bye for now...

Here are some list of web editors.

FREE WEB EDITORS

1. PHP Designer 2006 Beta (http://www.mpsoftware.dk/phpdesigner.php) - PHP DESIGNER is a powerful freeware IDE for coding PHP for both professional and novice alike.  Syntax highlighting and support for PHP, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Perl, JavaScript, VB, C#, Java & SQL. Feature-rich tool and it's free. I can't preview my web page here without WAMMP which I haven't installed yet.

2. PHP Designer 2005 3.6 (http://www.download.com/PHP-Designer-20 ... 53130.html) - Same as 2006 but obviously a lower version. Love this one because i can preview my design without switching to any browser. Great for coders and css designers.

3. Amaya (http://www.w3.org/Amaya/) - An Open Source web editor from w3.org geared towards standardization. Nice editor. I haven't fully tested it yet.
