Frontend and Backend Language Options

Post by confusedxx » Mon Aug 21, 2006 1:42 am

I have realised that google does not see the translated languages on my site and I cannot make translated keywords for my site with joomfish.

So I figured the best way to target all the different countries and languages will be to create a separate domain name for each language  (eg.  mysite.fr, mysite.co.uk, mysite.de, mysite.es)

How can I install the joomla english version and keep english as the backend language, but have a different default front end language on each domain?

Thanks

this is very simple,
login into your admin panel
goto extensions than press language manager
it ll open language manager, here you can see the languages installed into your joomla. if the desired language is not present, goto joomla.org, download desired language pack and install it, after this you have to select default language for front end, this is so, your front end language changes.
