Question Are there any specific color(s) chosen for Joomla? Red maybe? We all know Mambo by the color orange.

No, there are no specific colours chosen, we are happy to see what our community of creatives can come up with.

Question Will the forums remain here or move to forum.joomla.org?

Answer

We will migrate these forum to forum.joomla.org in the very near future.

There will be an announcement .. but for now.. these are the official Joomla! forums

Question What will become of the opensourcematters.org website after everything is up and going at Joomla.org?

The OSM website will remain in place.

OSM or Open Source Matters is the overarching body in charge of project Joomla!

So Joomla! is a product of OSM.   In terms promotion to clients, it should be Joomla! as it is the product, but if you wish to provide more background, you can say it was brought to you by the team at OSM - e.g. Mozilla brought you Firefox and Thunderbird, OSM brings you Joomla!

It will be a subdomain of joomla.org

Please lets drop the exclamation mark right away! It grow tied real quick to my mind and loses it's impact! Any guide to writing creative copy will tell you to go easy on the!!!!

I think the background colour on the joomla website is rather nice as a defining colour

Since most of the OSM forum is about $ambo and Joomla!, are the threads going to be transfered to the Joomla Forum when it is created?  I mean if I was a new user, I wouldn't want to have to search at the Joomla threads and here to find answers.  There are a lot of valuable posts here regarding just the CMS.

This was actually posted here http://forum.opensourcematters.org/inde ... w.html#new but I hadn't seen this thread then.

So here it is again:

The word mambot is a contraction of "mambo" and "bot". The word mosbot is "mambo open source" plus "bot".

I have just created probably the world's first joombot (or josbot), and that is called joshighlight because it highlights search words in main content.

But is this naming convention the way to go? Joombot and jos- ?

I would like to know before I make it public :-)

I think it would have to be Joombot (or even Jombot) as the previous was a contraction of Mambo and bot not MOS and bot but I'm being a semantic pedant here to justify by argument.
