Hi,JWvanKwawegen wrote: *ambo (still) 7.930.000 (ofcourse.... this won't be long any more... )
but within those 7,930,000 hits there are MANY (if not MOST) hits guiding to things with "dance".
Searching for "mambo cms" brings up 888,000 hits - i guess that's the number to be beaten!

Re: Joomla versus *ambo in Google
Just a thought:
Some of the module developers do have ads on Google Mambo searches. Those who have decided not to do the work of supporting both diverging versions and go with Joomla might want to think about adding the word 'Joomla' to their Mambo adword copy to help rebranding. but I would hope no-one would use any insulting comments, it just makes that person look unprofessional if Google let it pass.

Re: Joomla versus *ambo in Google
With so many mentions of Mambo on www.opensourcematters.org should a Moderator do a global find and replace, replacing Mambo with $ambo or M*mbo so that the search engines ... hmm ... as I type I realise that anyone who has heard of Mambo but knows nothing of it will want search engones to point them in this direction, so I guess Mambo entried should be left here. I guess.

Re: Joomla versus *ambo in Google
i think the most important is the community support. OSM can pull joomla! out even greater that they did mambo if the community are the backbones (as always). OSM supports the communities and the communities will support OSM willingly. I thinks it going to be that way.

Overnight (my time) Joomla has gone from just 15 (none of them us) to over 69000 results with Joomla.org in number 1 spot.

Re: Joomla versus *ambo in Google
I wonder when Google will raise the PageRank for this site....
At least many of the hits that show up in a Google search for "Mambo" are actually sites that will end up supporting Joomla!
