LOGO: Joomla! Smile

Hi, here you are! This is my first logo made for Joomla!.
It represents a Wolrd smile, universal smile.
All of us must be happy with this new OpenSourceMatters community and the new Joomla! baby.
This baby mus live under a Smile and Peace, so... I've thoguht a simple smile, is the perfect icon and logo for Joomla!.
I hope you like it and recieve the message in it.
Thnaks for be here Joomla! and thanks to Joomla! community too.

pd. finally say this smile is easy to change the colors and could be a good reason that every local site has this own colors (flag maybe?) All of this logo is the first step to an universal logo, i hope.

Isn't the wink wrong though? ; )...  if you rotate the semi-colon, the 'tail' should go off to the left, or right ( ;  not down as it is in the logo.  But other than that it looks nice.

The icon represents a face with two eyes (one wink) and a motuh with a smile.
Is not exactly a  ; )  is a smile with a wink for this fresh, friendly, universal and happy community under Joomla! and with a strong font based on the users cohesion to make Joomla! best than ever.

I like this one, simple, universal, don't need to worry about being understood...

The only thing is should Joomla be represented by an emoticon like image..?
In other words, do we want to push the joomla concept beyond a computer based
idea/software or are we happy with it being seen as just that?

To me, Joomla is much more than just a piece of software, it is an community [dare we
say worldwide] effort to make the best, simple-to-use Content Management System
out there...

Maybe I'm seeing too much into things, no matter what love the clever idea...

I think Joomla! "is not only software" because an OpenSource Software without a community like this is not a good open source soft, or may be as not good as Joomla! is.

I do like this one.  There's something that jars a bit about the font, but the icon is just great, confident, cheeky - I think it's good for the community and usable in a more corporate enviroment.  Nice work

Hello world!! and hello mates.

Now is going to finish this contest, i'm very happy with all the support i've recieved form all people who posted about the Joomla! Smile logo and from the private messages i've recieved.

I can only say THANKS to everybody for this great contest and i wsih Good Luck to every body who made a logo.

Joomla! Smile say "hello Joomla!, hello world!", smile is necessary to live and Joomla! to make websites for a www more powerful, usable and accesible wherever you live, Joomla! and simle can be togheher, I hope.

Hi Oskr I need to tell you, this is one of my favourites.

Simple, clean, easy read. The emoticon idea seems to be obvious, and at first time some people may thing this is not good.

I dont think so, If emoticon is a "universal web sign", why not to associate with Joomla! ? Its good to Joomla!.

About design, I think the forms are spread a little. Mybe a more compact group, try to reduce the spaces between "." and ","
after this reduce all icon to fit at lettering size.

Edit the "J" to remove the right top serif to mach with "l" top serif - do you got it?

Finally say thanks to all people who participated, all people who wrote about evey logo submitted and it's incredible how many logos were submitted in the last 3 houres, fantastic!!!

Joomla! it's not a baby, was a baby last week... in one week it's not the same baby (ex: 5000 users in this forums, incredible!), and every day this community let's Joomla! and help it to grow up!!
