Merging Databases for Bridge

Post by Ksb » Fri Apr 27, 2007 10:04 pm

Sorry I dont know if this is the right place for this, but I think it is since it applies to a pre-requisite for installing a bridge.

To bridge SMF and Joomla I need both MYSQL Databases to have permissions to each other. However my hosting company doesn't have cpanel so I have no idea how to do this.

Anyone know if I can do this my phpadmin or by editing the exported databases? Anyone know how??

any ideas would be great!!!

Some hosting companies simply won't let you manipulate the permissions like that for some reason.  GoDaddy, I believe, is one of them.

You could just export the tables from one of the databases and import it in to the other, and then just use one database.  As long as your site isn't too big, it should work fine.
