Several connection problems

Post by choppy » Wed Jul 11, 2007 6:07 pm

Several connection problems

1. Users cannot use shout box. It says you must login etc.
2. Users menu not showing up.
3. Admins no longer see online count when logged in.
4. Admins cannot edit news from front page.

I am using the now famed SMF Bridge 1.1.7 which I do not have a copy of and cannot re-install

Can anyone help please?  :pop
Thank you.

Yes I checked the PM thank you.

I asked for help is all I didn't wish to cause a fuss. Then............ I get two mods complaining about the length of my signature (Via PM) which explained installed mods so I didn't have to retype the whole thing when asked every time.

I see you have edited my signature for me in any case. Perhaps an answer to the original question may have been a better compromise. I realize your work is free and appreciate it but....

I don't know right now. Very hard to contemplate what this forum covers frankly. I do not mean to sound terse but mods writing about stupid stuff which helps you after all when asking questions about your software will not help anybody.

A little angry? Yes. Deserved? I think so. Kindly ignore what I was asking.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear you feel that way choppy. I do understand your frustration. Sorry it had to come to that.

If we don't enforce forum rules, things get way out of hand.
I understand you had helpful info in your signature file. But what if all 100,000+ members had huge 10-lines signature files? It would be quite crazy.

I did move your topic, as you initially posted in the Joomla! General Questions forum, but your question is not related to Joomla! core, but to correctly integrating SMF into your site. Experts in Joomla! are not necessarily experts in SMF integration. (I've never even considered SMF myself.) So the proper forum is really the best way to get knowledgeable help.

Good Luck!
