how to bridge SMF?

Heya all

I found the file comp_smf_202 the ont tht does the bridging. HOwever i have forgetten h"how" to bridge it. I have doen this before but totally odnt remeber.

I installed the componenet on my site and i tied to  install however at one of the options it says:
not installed  SMF Forum installed on the same database as Joomla. which means i cant install it still. The actual file has very poor intructions on wat to do, so how do i get them to the same databse>?
