New Forum posts on frontpage of site

I'm trying to set up my site so that the latest forum posts can appear automatically on the frontpage of my Joomla powered website as they are posted.  I have an SMF forum and I'm using ijoomla magazine as the frontpage of it.  Has anyone found a way to do this using those extensions together?  (or, using another exension as well to do this?) Thanks!

You can use SSI to do this.  You'll need the joomla module that can display/parse PHP- like Runphp or modphp, or even Jumi (a mambot)

Then check out your forums SSI here:

Check the SMF support forum for using SSI- there's a couple ways to go about it.

If you're using the Joomlahacks Joomla-SMF bridge, they also have a "recent forum topics" module.

However, looking on their site, it's not easy to tell which download is actually the correct, not to mention latest version.

I'll try to figure out which version I'm currently using on my site and update this post if I figure it out.

I want to do the same thing, but im running Invision Power Board. Is there anything i can use to display the last 5 posts on my joomla site???
